For Gen X kids, "Are You Ready for the Summer?" needs no introduction.

Originally featured in the 1979 Bill Murray comedy Meatballs, the song became an unofficial summer anthem for a generation raised on VHS tapes, summer camps, and a level of adult supervision that would probably trigger several investigations today.
For everyone else, consider this your invitation to discover what may be the greatest summer camp movie ever made.
Our version of "Are You Ready for the Summer?" is the latest release from Holidazed and Contused, a year-long project featuring one song for each month of the year, inspired by the holidays, seasonal events, and occasional disasters that fill our calendars.
The project began with "What's in the Box?", our holiday offering. We'll be releasing a new song each month until Holidazed and Contused is complete, then putting the whole thing on vinyl.
In the meantime, summer is officially in session.
